Donna Snell is an educator, musician, songwriter, and workshop leader who has dedicated her life to sharing the joy of music with learners of all ages—from preschool children to senior adults. A graduate of Louisiana State University, she earned a Bachelor of Music Education and completed graduate studies in Special Education.
After teaching junior high choral music in Baton Rouge, Donna’s career took an unexpected turn when she and her husband relocated to Aberdeen Proving Ground, Maryland, during Pete’s military service. There, she became the first music teacher at the base nursery school, developing an innovative music curriculum that sparked a lifelong passion for early childhood education.
Over the years, Donna has written and recorded original songs, performed throughout the South, and led workshops that equip early childhood educators with creative ways to integrate music across the curriculum. As her family moved throughout Tennessee, Louisiana, Mississippi, and Texas, she continued teaching children, directing church choirs, and serving communities through music. Together with her husband Pete, she continues to share a love of music with audiences of all ages.
